Like the other practitioners at Well Balanced, I believe our bodies need to be addressed as a whole functioning unit.
Through our amazing web of muscle and fascia, no one area of the body can be isolated from another, and no one element of pain can be fully disassociated from symptoms elsewhere in the body. My philosophy is that our bodies’ structural integrity is directly related to our physical, emotional and mental well being, and all of those elements can be addressed through hands on bodywork.
I use connective tissue therapy to work with the skin and underlying fascia to help re-orient and bring awareness to the bodies movement habits in order to provide my patients with structurally sound posture and movement patterns. These techniques are designed to influence lasting effects on your bodies’ tissues and posture, while providing you with not only relief from pain, but a whole body approach to wellness not found in a typical health care environment.
