As a collegiate athlete, pain was an almost daily presence. When you ask your body to do more than it is capable of, pain is the result. As a limber young athlete, those pains were temporary. As an active, and still competitive adult, when I do encounter pain I see it as an indicator that my body needs help.
Through my extensive training as an acupuncturist and my experience as a lifelong athlete I have learned the skills to find the mechanism and root cause of pain, so that I can address the source and functionally remove the limitation which leaves my patients pain free for years to come.
“Most people do not know how good their bodies are supposed to feel. Anxiety, fatigue and pain are all
signals that your body is asking you for help.” Lisa Glasser, L.Ac.
Well Balanced Center for Integrated Health was created out of this philosophy, that no one should be in pain, physically nor emotionally. Which is why we created a specialized team to treat every ailment from depression to knee pain and everything in between while utilizing the modality that is right for you whether it be chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, nutritional counseling or individual exercise plans.
I attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, MN where I received a Masters in Acupuncture. While in school I had heard many amazing things about the great Northwest. I made the leap and settled in Eugene. I have grown to admire and love this community that has welcomed me and my practice with open arms. Almost 10 years after first hearing of acupuncture, I am thankful to have found a profession that I love. In my free time you’ll find me exploring our great state of Oregon! In the summer months I love to hike and swim with my dog, Mazi. This year I have taken up gardening, it’s amazing to watch life grow. In the winter I try and find the sun on the mountains and I get up to the snow every chance I get. You’ll either find me on my snowboard or cross-country skiing.
